I had a dream that I lived in California. I was living at a house, I think with mom and family. But idk for sure. But for some reason, it’s not good for me to live there. There are other people there too visiting. And then some people show up who shouldn’t be there, like they're dangerous. Then it starts raining and rain gets inside the home. It’s dangerous there. But some of the people there are okay. Anyway, my kitties get out and I’m needing to track them down to be sure they’re safe. I get them all back home into what I'm designating as "my room." It seems like a lot of friends help me. And we put them in that big room in the house that is safe, and we just all stay and are safe there. Then someone tells me the steps to take to be ok. Like someone celestial that knows the future, like from heaven. I start being careful to do everything they say, even things that don’t make sense. For instance, they said to be sure to put a pee pad down in this one area. Then later a young girl pees on it while she was napping. She also had thick saliva dribbling from her mouth which was kind of gross. And she was such a sweet and cute girl. Once she woke and moved, it was easy to clean the area up with the pee pad under her. So it was things like that that I was told to do to be safe and for everything to be ok. Everything was still hard and chaotic and there were lots of messes to clean up. And lots of things, like water was coming into the home. I think the celestial person who was helping me was a woman. Next we head out. It’s been storming, but it was storming irl so that may be why it was in the dream, idk. Next we were riding around in a van. We were driving through these neighborhoods in California. They were such beautiful and homey looking homes, and really nice homes too, and they were on hills, and all the homes they were tight together, like super close to each other. But they were zig zagged so that you had the feeling of privacy. I commented that I loved these homes in California. But it really was a tight zig zag driving around them all on the hills. Later back on flat land, there were some pretty condos. I commented that they were lovely too. A guy in the van said he really loved that area. I said I did too. He called it a beach town. I noticed the condos sat on beautiful sand. But there was no ocean. I said but I would like to be by the beach with the ocean. Then the celestial woman said I needed to go to this particular place, like a government place that helps people. We pulled up in the city, with lots of cars and traffic. It was still beautiful though. Each of us in the van got out. I was to walk up the street. It would be okay because people at a building along the way would give me directions on how to get where I was to go. Just tell them where I was going. It was a pretty city area. Lots of cars, and I was a little nervous on if I'd make it to where I was to go. I started walking up the street and sure enough when I came to that building, a guy was there to help me. I told the guy who sent me and asked to help me find my way. He did. He showed me where to go and told me exactly how to get there. I got there. The celestial woman was there too. She said I needed to be a high school student. That’s what I needed to get the help I needed, and this was the exact help I needed. She gave me this tin box that she said had all the paperwork I’d need while I was there. And sure enough she was right. Everywhere I went, when someone asked for some document, it was always in the tin box she gave me. It sounded like I would just be there for a few hours. But I’m an adult and I thought that no way would they believe I’m in high school. I look young but I don’t look like a kid. Anyway, I went inside. They were super nice. A new woman took over in looking after me. I told her who sent me, and she immediate took me in. They all seemed to fully believe I was in high school. It turned out to be a place for kids without homes, like orphans. They helped them either find families or set them up to be ok in life. It included school and health. Like she weighed me and monitored my diet and health to be sure I was healthy. And I was put into classes. It turned out I was going to have to be there a while, like at least a week. It still shocked me that I blended in as a high school student. No one realized I wasn’t a teenager. And I started becoming really good friends with the others. I really liked them and they me. We all really enjoyed each other's company. I really liked it there. It felt good, like the friends, the help, and becoming prepared for what’s next. I was put into a couple of classes. With being new, I had no idea what was going on in the class. One class had lots of analytical deep things that would take a while to learn. But they all thought I had learned it all before I got there. I asked a girl if I could borrow her notes to study, and she was happy too. At first I thought I’d be ok with the test, but then I saw a couple of problems on this math/physics part that I knew I need to spend time studying. I decided to try to memorize the answers the girl wrote. Then the woman checked on me to see how I was doing, almost like she wanted to make sure I wasn’t cheating. I realized then that if I memorized the answers in the notes the girl lent me, that would be cheating because I wouldn't have done the problem myself. I realized I may need to stop the classes. I told my new friends this. And they said they thought that would be good. They said that I am a content creator, so I don’t really need this anyway. In the dream, I thought that was true. Next we had to go to another type of government office for something. It was an office similar to what you go to when you go to get your driver's license, but I don’t know what we were getting here. But again, the woman gave me all I needed to give the office for me to get what I needed. (NOTE: I have lots of recurring dreams in California. I'm not sure what it may symbolize. I used to live there, and I don't want to move back. But I guess California represents beauty, freedom, and dreams to me. It is utterly beautiful, from nature to the architecture. I loved the bright sun there. I also felt very free to be me. They seem to honor being unique and like people to just be themselves, weird parts and all. I don't want to live there because it just never felt like home to me. I wish it did, but it didn't. I also struggled meeting people I fully related to. It seemed harder there. But in these dreams, it doesn't seem to represent any of the negative aspects of California. I always feel hope and absolutely love it there in the dreams. In fact, in many of the dreams, I'll be so relieved I'm finally back there.)
Dreams often serve as reflections of our innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Let's break down the various elements of your dream to uncover possible interpretations:
Living in California: California in your dream seems to symbolize beauty, freedom, and the pursuit of one's dreams. Despite not wanting to move back, this recurring dream location could highlight a part of you yearning for the inspiring environment California represents to you: a vibrant, sunlit landscape that embraces uniqueness and dreams.
The House and Family Ties: The feeling of the house potentially being dangerous suggests inner conflict or unresolved issues in a familiar space. It may be linked to aspects of your life that feel unsettling or unsafe despite being normally comforting or familiar, like family or home.
Intruders and Danger: The appearance of dangerous people might symbolize external pressures or internal fears that threaten your sense of safety. This could relate to stress from relationships or responsibilities that feel intrusive or burdensome.
Rain and Water: Rain symbolizes a cleansing process but also chaos when it intrudes into the home. This suggests emotional turmoil or changes that disrupt your perceived order. Water is a powerful emotional symbol, representing deep feelings or unresolved past issues.
Searching for Your Cats: Your kitties symbolize what you hold dear and vulnerable—perhaps aspects of yourself, relationships, or projects you are protective about. The need to find and ensure their safety indicates a desire to protect and secure what's important to you amidst chaos.
Celestial Guidance: The celestial woman signifies a higher wisdom or intuition guiding you through chaos. The instructions she gives, although seemingly nonsensical, emphasize trusting your instincts even if they defy logic.
The Young Girl and Pee Pad: Unplanned events that are easily managed due to foresight highlight preparedness and adaptability. The girl, though messy, represents innocence and unpredictability, reflecting how life can be messy but manageable.
The Van Journey through California: Driving through beautiful, tightly-knit neighborhoods signifies navigating through different choices and exploring new opportunities while maintaining privacy and personal boundaries.
The Beach Town with No Ocean: Symbolizes longing for certain emotions or experiences (like completeness or tranquility, represented by the ocean) that aren’t presently fulfilled even in settings that seem perfect.
Government Agency and High School: Represents a quest for help or guidance in an institutional form, as well as a desire to return to simpler times or revisit unresolved issues from adolescence. The high school represents learning, growth, and integration with societal norms.
Fitting in as a High School Student: Indicates adaptability and perhaps impostor syndrome, feeling like you blend into situations even if they aren't intrinsically yours. This might reflect your ability to socialize and find belonging, or anxiety about being exposed for not fitting societal expectations.
Content Creator Identity: Acknowledging your identity as a content creator signifies embracing your truth and current life's path, which might not align with traditional or expected roles.
New Friends and Community: Represents a desire for companionship and community where individuality and creativity are celebrated. This reflects your positive interpersonal experiences, even if temporary or in transition.
The Lessons and Realizations: Your contemplation about cheating using someone else's notes reflects honesty and integrity in personal growth. It underscores the importance of authentic learning and resisting shortcuts, which also applies metaphorically to life decisions.
Overall, this dream suggests an inner exploration of identity and a desire for safety and direction amidst life's unpredictabilities. It emphasizes trusting intuition, cherishing personal values, and embracing your uniqueness as you navigate the various aspects of life.
